Do you have the courage and drive to operate at the intersection of attracting top international clients and the day-to-day execution of client activities? If so, we are looking for a Commercial & Operations Coordinator to take on a key role in UAS Denmark Test Centre’s commercial value chain.
Your role
UAS Denmark Test Centre works with some of the most advanced companies and organisations in the field of drone and defence technology. Based at HCA Airport on the outskirts of Odense, we are working purposefully and strategically to become Europe’s leading test environment for UAS and counter-UAS technology. This is being achieved in close collaboration with authorities, research communities and industry – both nationally and internationally.
We are therefore in close dialogue with, amongst others:
- International industrial companies
- Danish and foreign defence companies
- Public authorities and operational environments
- Research and education centres.
To achieve our strategic objectives, we need to maintain a consistently high level of engagement with international clients and partners – and ensure the effective operational delivery of our testing and client-facing activities, from initial contact through to project completion. You will play a key role in this.
Your mission
As Commercial & Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for turning commercial discussions into concrete, implemented actions – and for ensuring that our projects are carried out efficiently and professionally from start to finish.
You’ll be working at the crossroads between international clients, operations/flight testing and senior management. The role is neither traditional sales nor administrative support – you’ll be the link that ensures both internal and external stakeholders work together to deliver the project.
You will manage our customer-facing activities from the initial contact through to the completion of the project and ongoing collaboration. This involves, amongst other things:
- To take responsibility for client projects and act as a professional sounding board for clients with high professional and operational standards
- To plan and coordinate test programmes and activities in close consultation with clients and internal stakeholders
- To ensure progress and maintain an overview across projects – even when many parties are involved
- Putting agreed activities into practice – with a focus on quality, safety and delivery
- To follow up on activities aimed at retention, repeat programmes and the further development of the partnership
You’ll be working on both complex test programmes and other client-related activities – but always to the same high standards of quality and execution. Put simply, you’re the one who makes things happen.
You will report to the Head of the UAS Denmark Test Centre. The physical place of work is HCA Airport.
Your profile
We are looking for a candidate with operational expertise and professional credibility who thrives in a demanding environment with many stakeholders. You may have experience in defence, aviation or other technology-intensive and regulated sectors – or alternatively, a background as an officer (e.g. first lieutenant or captain) or experience in public administration, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
In addition, we would like you to:
- Has experience of customer engagement in professional, international settings
- Can provide an overview and drive progress across different stakeholders and agendas
- Is comfortable with both complex and practical tasks
- Works in a structured manner and takes responsibility for getting things done
Furthermore, it would be an advantage if you:
- Has knowledge of drone technology (UAS and/or counter-UAS)
- Has an understanding of regulatory matters (e.g. aviation regulations, safety/security or similar)
You don’t need to be a specialist – but you must be able to quickly get to grips with technical and regulatory matters and put them into practice.
We offer
You will be joining a small, ambitious team at HCA Airport with a flat organisational structure, short decision-making processes and a close link between planning and practical implementation. We work in a rapidly developing sector where standards of quality, safety and delivery are high.
You’ll play a key role in working closely with customers, test activities and internal decision-making – with the opportunity to take responsibility and make things work in practice.
Our culture is characterised by responsibility, professionalism and business acumen. We must deliver to a high standard, create value for customers and business partners, whilst ensuring that our activities are commercially and financially sound.
Salary and employment conditions
The position is remunerated in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, depending on experience and qualifications. The expected salary level will be disclosed prior to any interview.
