HCA Airport and AeroVironment, Inc. ("AV") (NASDAQ: AVAV) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore joint utilisation of UAS Denmark Test Center's airspace and advanced test facilities.
The agreement aims to utilise the UAS Denmark Test Centre's facilities and infrastructure to support AV's unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) demonstration operations, mission training and customer integration activities across the region.
The collaboration is expected to enable joint research and development (R&D) initiatives and accelerate UAS Denmark Test Center's position as a regional epicentre for advanced UAS development.
"This MOU represents an important milestone in the expansion of AV's operational footprint in Europe," said Shane Hastings, AV's Vice President and General Manager of Medium UAS.
"Our partnership with HCA Airport and UAS Denmark Test Center positions us to deliver enhanced capabilities, mission-critical training and integrated UAS solutions to allied defence forces and government stakeholders across the region."
The agreement follows AV's framework agreement from February 2025 with the Danish Ministry of Defence's Defence Materiel and Procurement Agency (FMI), where AV provides advanced UAS solutions, training and education, and lifecycle support to strengthen the Defence's intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities.
The partnership with HCA Airport and UAS Denmark Test Centre builds on this momentum and reinforces AV's commitment to deliver tactical advantage through scalable, reliable and combat-proven UAS platforms.
