HCA Airport is expanding its area by approximately four hectares to meet the growing demand to become part of the airport's business park. This is a milestone for HCA Airport as it is the first time in the airport's history that the business park has been expanded.
HCA Airport is already home to around 25 companies, and in the future there will be room for even more.
That's why the airport is now expanding by four hectares to Create the necessary space for companies that want to become part of HCA Airport's growing ecosystem of companies in both drones and manned aviation.
This is the first time in the airport's history that the business park has been expanded. With the expansion, HCA continues Airport its strategy to be a central hub for the development of both manned and unmanned aviation.
"We are experiencing a growing demand from companies that want to be part of our ecosystem. The current capacity of the business park is now fully utilised, and therefore the expansion is a necessity to meet this demand," explains CEO of HCA Airport, Hans Okholm Vejrup.
Today, the park is home to around 25 companies that are primarily involved in either traditional aviation or drones and related technologies. Drone companies in particular make up a growing share of the ecosystem thanks to the proximity to the national drone test centre UAS Denmark Test Center.
Move-in in 2025
The four hectares will include plots for offices and hangars as well as car parks and a service road.
Projects initially include the development of the area expansion, including the extension of the existing service road, construction of an access road, construction of car parks and security in the form of fencing, entrance and camera surveillance.
HCA Airport will be responsible for the development of the new areas, while it will be up to the tenants to construct their own buildings. The first buildings are expected to begin construction as early as the beginning of 2025.
