Travellers from Funen can now warm themselves with the thought that this autumn it will be possible to fly to warmer climes to the Greek holiday island of Rhodes with Spies, which offers a direct departure from HCA Airport in week 42.

Guests want 4 stars and private pool access for young and old: Spies upgrades
On the south-eastern Greek island of Rhodes, where the October weather is stable and warm, Spies has just expanded its most popular family hotel, Sunwing Kallithea Beach, with even more rooms with direct pool access and a brand new pool lounge. This is due to the fact that in recent years, after the world reopened after the coronavirus, Danes have spent even more money on their holidays and have even higher expectations for their hotels. Sofie Folden Lund, Head of Communications at Spies, says:
- We're seeing an increased demand for +4 star hotels and especially for rooms with direct pool access. The ability to meet friends by the communal pool and snorkel on the beautiful beach at Kallithea - but also to retreat and just plop straight into the pool from your room appeals to many. That's why we've expanded with even more direct pool access. And as something completely new - also splash pools for the mindset.
Sofie Folden Lund explains that as something completely new, a number of "Happy Baby" living room apartments have also been created for the hotel's youngest guests with direct pool access to the so-called splash pools, which are low splash pools with shade sails above. This allows toddlers to swim while parents sit on the edge with their feet in the pool and keep an eye on them.
